If you’re going to define a brand, you don’t do it quietly.

This branding shoot for Velvet Ant Studio unfolded at the iconic Bonneville Salt Flats, where the landscape is stark, expansive, and wildly unforgiving - in other words, the perfect canvas for bold floral design that refuses to blend in. 

This shoot was a visual manifesto: Velvet Ant Studio is not soft background decor. It’s statement-making floral design rooted in impact, emotion, and editorial-level detail.

A FLORAL INSTALLATION THAT COMMANDS SPACE

This installation leaned into contrast in the most unapologetic way. Rich crimson, deep burgundy, and soft blush blooms exploded against the white horizon, creating a high-drama moment that felt both romantic and powerful.

Layers of florals framed the scene overhead and grounded it below, forming an immersive environment. Draped fabrics added movement and romance, while the asymmetrical structure kept the design feeling modern and intentional.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

Romantic blooms paired with darker elements to create tension and depth. The palette balanced passion and restraint, femininity and strength, softness and edge. Strung calla lilies and cranberries created an elevated, "never been seen before" look signature to our creations. Candles and fruit added a still-life quality, grounding the scene in old-world romance while keeping it editorial and contemporary.

Every detail reinforced the core of the brand: florals as art and storytelling.

Velvet Ant Studio exists for couples and creatives who want florals with intention. We create designs that feel dynamic and a little bit dangerous (in the best way). This shoot was about claiming space in the luxury floral world without apology and without following the rules, just because they’re comfortable.
