Inspired by the velvet ant, a wasp known for its stunning, velvety appearance and legendary sting, Velvet Ant Studio brings a new kind of energy to floral design - untamed, elegant, and quietly fierce.
Everything we create is fresh, both in quality and in concept. We craft floral statements full of texture, contrast, and edge. No matter what type of event you're planning, we design for those who want nature's beauty on its own wild terms.
Our love for creating beautiful spaces knows no bounds, and it is our mission to design pieces that your guests will be talking about for years to come.
Laura and Brianna met working at a flower shop and quickly built a long-lasting friendship and partnership. They have always supported and encouraged each other to become the best versions of themselves: as floral artists, business women, and compassionate leaders.
What started as a shared love for invigorating design has evolved into Velvet Ant Studio, where the floor is covered in stems, exciting ideas flow constantly, and joking, singing, and sharing stories are part of the joy of what we do.

Hey, I'm Laura! For as long as I can remember, I've had a deep passion for art and the beauty of nature. I found floral design (or, did it find me?) in 2020 and thus began a beautiful love affair. I thrive on all things colorful and textural and adore transforming ordinary spaces into something truly breathtaking!
This dream wouldn't be possible without the love and support of my family, especially my sweet husband, Alex and our son. When I'm not in the studio or spending time with them, I love to listen to audiobooks, paint, and play the piano.

Brianna Hooper
Hi, I'm Brianna! My passion for craftsmanship, organic beauty, and connection led me to my calling of creating floral masterpieces for life's most meaningful events. I value attention to detail and I'm always dreaming up ways to add pizazz and flair for some incredibly showstopping moments! (Metallics, feathers, crystals, or hand-painted flowers, anyone?!)
My husband, Ethan, and my dog, Lola, are my greatest joys in life. I thank God for them and for bringing me into a career where I can do what lights my fire. I also love skiing, traveling, reading, and woodworking. I can't wait to make your floral dreams become reality!

Consultation
This is a complimentary video call typically lasting 20 -30 minutes. During this call, we can talk about quantities, how we can best allocate your budget, what you value most, along with any ideas we have to make your big day unique.

Proposal
Within 3 business days of your consultation, you will receive a custom quote complete with pictures as inspiration to make sure we are encapsulating the best version of your vision.

Contract & Deposit
Once you are ready to move forward, we will send you
a contract and an invoice for a 20% retainer fee to secure your date.
Your wedding date is not secured until the contract is signed
and the retainer fee is paid.

Final Steps
30 days prior to your event, we will reach out to reconfirm quantities. At this time, your final balance is due.
You can trust that the florals for your big day will be executed to perfection! At the end of the night, we will return to pick up any rental items and remove florals that were not taken home by guests.
